Need Help About Uncut Contents

Howdy partners, I wan't to use a uncut content mod for New Vegas. But I have three question about it.
  1. Which un-cut mod is best? There is plenty of them.
  2. Will it be compatible with my current modlist? If no, which mods will cause problems? (I'm okay with small bugs)
  3. Will it worth it? I didn't ever tried uncut contents.
Here is my modlist

This game is a masterpiece. (long post)

I love this game so much. I have been paying for this game for 5-7 years and my opinion has never changed. Everything is just so good. I am not going to put a section about side quests because I cover a few side quests in a few sections. I will briefly cover the main parts of the base game. ( maybe I will make a post covering the amazing DLC) SPOILERS AHEAD. I apologize in advance for tangents, grammatical and spelling issues.
TLDR at the bottom
START/TUTORIAL
The way NV starts is a pretty good. It teaches you about the aspects of the game in the small town of Goodsprings. In "Ghost Town Gunfight", the game teaches you about skill checks. To convince Chet to help you pass a barter check, to convince Easy Pete, you pass an explosive check, Trudy requires a speech check, and Doc Mitchell requires a medicine check if you choose to do "Run Goodsprings Run". It also teaches you about the reputation with the two quests I just mentioned. If you help the Powder Gangers, they will like you, at the cost of wiping out Goodsprings, and if you choose to help the town, the Powder Gang hates you, but Goodsprings likes you.

MORALITY
Morality is not black and white in NV for the most part. For example, in the quest "The White Wash", you are asked to investigate the case of NCR Corporal White, a soldier who went missing. You face a dilemma at the end when you find out that a Follower Of The Apocalypse is taking water from the NCR to give to the people of Westside who really need it. He tells you that he killed White to hide the secret about the water, and he feels bad about it. So you have to choose what you think is the best option, do you (A) tell the NCR that their water is being stolen so they can use it, or (B) do you keep the secret at the cost of some NCR working peoples livelihoods? There is no clear good or clear bad, it's all grey. Of course there are some obviously evil people in NV like the Fiends, especially Cook-Cook. But there is a lot, and I mean a LOT of grey.

MINOR FACTIONS
The minor factions are really great in NV. You obviously have the Brotherhood of Steel, the tech hoarders themselves. But there are also other small factions, like the Followers of The Apocalypse. They are a group of scientists and doctors whose purpose is to help people (I believe they debuted in the original Fallout. Can't remember if it was the first or second one.) You also have the Great Khans, a group of nomads who are modeled after the Mongolians. They raid, take chems, sell chems, and kill anyone who gets in their way. But as I said earlier, the morality is not black and white. The Khans hate the NCR because of the Bitter Springs Massacre, an incident in which the NCR slaughtered Khan women, elders, and children. There is also the Boomers. The Boomers are a group of former vault dwellers who stay at Nellis Airforce base and shoot at any outsiders. This is because they do not trust them, but you can help them to prove that outsiders are not as bad as they think. The last minor factions I will cover are the Families of the Strip. The Omertas are an old school mafia inspired group that run the Gomorrah casino. They have shady business that ranges from abusing the prostitutes to killing everyone in the Strip for Caesar's Legion. The White Gloves are a society of people who see themselves as above everyone else in class. They run the Ultra Luxe casino. But there are a handful in the society who want to bring back their old tribal tradition of cannibalism. The Chairmen run the Tops casino and they are the "coolest" family. They use old school slang and are the most laid back family.

Companions
The companions are great. Although I want to cover every single detail about every companion, I will limit myself to brief explanations on my 2 favorite companions (I love the other but do not have the time to cover them) and why I like them.
I will cover Arcade Gannon first. I love Arcade so much as a character. He is a Follower of The Apocolypse and he has an interesting origin and great writing. He has an intense hatred for Caesar's Legion. You trigger his personal quest by siding with anyone but the Legion (and maybe House. I have never tried siding with House while Arcade was in my company). He pulls you aside at certain places and, depending on how you reply, makes him like, or dislike you more. When you reach max affinity, he pulls you aside and reveals his story. He was born in the Enclave and he wants you to reunite the remnants that he knows to fight against the Legion at Hoover Dam. You can tell Arcade to stay in Freeside as a doctor to help people in the aftermath of the battle or you can tell him to fight with the remnants. If you tell him to stay in Freeside, he will give you his fathers Enclave tesla armor. If you tell him to fight, he will wear the armor at the battle for the dam. You will be rewarded with power armor training and remnants power armor. This will affect (effect?) his fate in the ending slides.
The other companion I will cover is Boone. He is former NCR First Recon sniper who participated in the Bitter Springs Massacre that I mentioned earlier. You meet him in Novac and he asks you to find the person who sold his wife into slavery. You can either find who did it or you can make him kill a random person of your choice. By doing things he like and asking him about his past, Boone will open up about the Massacre and you can take him to Bitter Springs. After killing Many Legion bois, you can tell Boone to let go of the past and he will finally move on, or you can tell him to become vengeful and more aggressive. This will affect(effect?) his fate in the ending slides.

MAIN QUEST LINE SUMMARY
To keep this very short, the main plot is to decide who should win the second battle for the Hoover Dam. Your choices are the NCR, Caesar's Legion, Mr. House, an independent Vegas with the help of Yes Man.

THE NCR
The New California Republic is a, well, a republic whose goal is to recreate the government of the old world, like the U.S government. It is a bureaucracy and has the positives and negatives of one. The characters in the NCR are diverse and very well written. Like how Colonel Hsu is a sensible and calm man who can resolve violent situations, as seen in the "Kings Gambit" quest where if you go to Hsu, he offers Freeside extra food and water to stop the violence. But in the same quest, you can tell Colonel Moore about the Freeside situation. Moore is a no nonsense lady who will not hesitate to fight violence with violence, which is what happens if you tell her about the Freeside situation. She sends a squad of soldiers and you to the Kings school to give the King an ultimatum. In conclusion, the NCR is an army that wishes to use the governing methods of old world America. But they also have the flaws of that system, like corruption.

CAESAR'S LEGION
Caesar's Legion is more than a faux Roman Empire. Caesar is a man who is educated on the old world, on old world government and was even an NCR citizen and Follower of The Apocolypse. Caesar thinks that the best way to lead is through dictator control. He tells you this when you ask him about President Aaron Kimball. He says that democracy slows down progress. He actually has an amount of respect for Kimball. The Legion is made up of 86 tribes that Caesar has conquered. These tribals are stripped of their identity and are indoctrinated into essentially worshipping Caesar as a living deity, as Arcade Gannon said. The legion does not believe in modern medicine. They only use "natural" sources of healing like powder. Which is not great when (plot twist) you find out about Caesar's brain tumor. Lets talk about how women are used in the Legion. Woman are used as slaves and mates for the men. When tribes are conquered, the women are forced into slavery, while the boys and young men are made into Legion soldiers. The Legion see's women as less than men. The men are trained to fear their leaders rather than their enemies, because if they fail, they are killed, like what Caesar attempted to do to Joshua Graham when the Legion lost the First Battle for Hoover Dam. The Legate Lanius, who probably has the best voice in the game, is a figure of fear. He kills anyone that gets in his way and has been a full member of the Legion since he was a child. Caesar says that Lanius has no care for the men of the legion. In conclusion, the Legion is a slaver group that is led by an educated warlord who has interesting philosophies.

MR. HOUSE
Robert Edwin House is the founder of RobCo, the company responsible for many of creations in Fallout including the Pip Boy. He predicted the Great War and prepared to survive it, through weird means. The platinum Chip was running late for delivery while the Great War started, so House did not get it. House is very interesting. He is very smart, yet makes very risky gambles, like trusting you (a stranger) in not destroying his secret army of robots. He single handedly saved Vegas from the war and built it up again. He wants you to help him fulfill his wishes for the future. He thinks he deserves the Dam because of what he can do for Vegas. His plan is to remove the Legion and lower the influence of the NCR in the Mojave so that he can bring back the glory of pre war Las Vegas. As another redditor said on the fallout subreddit, House seems to be the only one with long term plans for the future, whether they are good or bad is your opinion. In conclusion, Mr. House is an ambitious man with ambitious plans for Vegas and the Mojave. He is very confident in himself and his ability to predict the outcome of situations.

YES MAN/ INDEPENDANCE
This is going to be the shortest description. Benny had help reprogramming a securitron to help with anything, most notably taking over Vegas. You choose what factions you like and which ones you do not like and you kick both the Legion and the NCR out of the Mojave wasteland to establish independence.
FREEDOM AND DETAIL
This game is a game where you have complete freedom. You don't like Caesar, go ahead and kill him. There's no quest to do it, but you can still do it. You can kill anyone you want and you can make many decisions that impact the world. If you allow the NCR train to blow up, or if you do it yourself with the Legion, people will talk about it. I made a post showing Legate Lanius's reaction to you confronting him while wearing Legion faction armor. Obsidian has done such an amazing job putting so much detail in this game. Another example of detail is wiping out Camp Forlorn Hope. The NCR will talk about that if you do it then talk to the troopers. There are more examples of this that you will see during your own gameplay.

THE WORLD

The games world is so good. The world is great, especially from a 2010 game. The locations are great. The unmarked spots like the Sarsaparilla sign where the Lonesome Drifter is are pretty cool. The spot where you find a dead person with remnants power armor is a pleasant surprise if you just find while exploring. I also feel very immersed in the world when I'm just walking around and see a legion patrolling or NCR patrolling.

TLDR: I love Fallout: New Vegas.

Fallout 76, exploitative gaming mechanics and immersion

I just recently bought F76 after reading from a lot of people here that the single player experience is pretty similar to F3, New Vegas and particularly 4 and thought I’d give some advice to those who might be about to make the same mistake as me:
It is not the same experience.
Not by a long shot. I mean, it’s still mildly fun and the exploration and environmental storytelling is top notch indeed, but this is where the similarities end. Everything else about F76 is more akin to a modern MMORPG, live gaming experience than a single player Fallout game.
So here we go, this is going to be long and rambly, but bear with me:
(or not, here’s the TL;DR – previous Bethesda games seemed to be primarily interested in providing players with an immersive RPG experience where story and world matter most. Fallout 76 embraces modern day ‘the-game-for-the-sake-of-the-game’ Skinner box mechanics where the goal is not to transport you into the world the game is simulating, but to keep you engaged at all costs via quasi- predatory task-reward systems that game your brain in much the same way gambling does).

*

I have no interest in playing w/ other people, I don’t like MMORPGs and what I like about the Fallout series is being immersed in a big, interesting world that feels real and like it exists on its own independently of the player. Pretty much something Bethesda excels at in their single player RPGs. That’s where my head was at when I got this game, because so many people in this sub told me it was a similar experience to Bethesda’s single player games, particularly with the addition of Wastelanders.
About 15 hours into the game, I can say pretty confidently Fallout 76 is not really like that. At all. And it’s not a flaw, but by design. The game is not really so much concerned with immersing you the way single player games are, but much more with providing the kind of Skinner-box-grind-loot-reward mechanics that are super popular among modern day games, particularly live service ones that not-so- subtly nudge you, gameplay wise, into their little online shop where you pay real money (Hello, Atom Store).
And I’m not saying the game is pay-to-win or cripples the player who doesn’t pay either for premium items or Fallout 1st too much (it doesn’t, I bought nothing other than the base game and it’s still easier than F4 for the most part), what I’m saying is the primary goal of this game is not to immerse you in its world like a normal RPG (good RPGs, I believe ,are the ones that let you forget you’re playing a game) , but to get you to engage with the game itself via its reward mechanics so you keep playing out of a sense of achievement and fear of missing out, immersion be damned.
And it’s funny because I saw a lot of people on this sub saying F76 is the most immersive Fallout they’ve ever played, and that’s part of the reason I decided to give it a shot, and the truth is that has absolutely not been my experience.
Here’s what is more immersive in F76:

-You can't pause

That’s it. It really does feel more intense to go into a fight knowing you can’t bring up your Pip Boy to plan an attack plan or escape. That’s really the only element of F76 that’s more immersive than previous Fallouts, and, of course, it’s not like it was added with that intention, so much as it’s a limitation of the online experience.
And naturally you’re free to not pause mid-fight in previous Fallouts (which I will start doing actually, because the experience is much more fun this way), so it’s not really a uniquely F76 experience.

Here’s what ISN’T more immersive in F76:

-Daily quests.
I’ll get prompts in my Pip-Boy on daily quests like: “Explore the trailer.” “Investigate the house.” “Restore power to the power plant” What trailer? What house? And why do I care about restoring power to this random power plant no one seems to be using? No one told me about this trailer or this house or this power plant, so why is it showing up on my Pip boy and how do I know to get there and what to do and how does this mission fit in with the story of my character and what is my character’s motivation for doing it other than ‘a force from the beyond said so on his Pip-Boy’?
Again, the game is not really interested in answering those questions, because the point is not to tell you a story where you are the main character, the point is just to keep you engaged – go to A, collect reward, go to B, defeat X, collect reward. Press a button, get food. Skinner’s Box gaming.
(I did restore power to the Power Plant though, more on that later)

-Legendary Items exchange.
There’s a place you can go in-game to exchange legendary currency for legendary items. As far as I know there’s no in-game explanation as to why there’s a different form of currency other than caps just for some kinds of items. It’s not built into the world (or, if it is, I didn’t find the in-game explanation yet), and it seems to be there just because the game itself wants a second currency for special items.
And once you go into the legendary store, you don’t choose to buy a specific item with that currency, but rather a ‘mystery box’ that will give you a surprise legendary item.
Why would it be so, worldbuilding-wise? Why did this guy set up a store where you can’t pick what you buy? Is this a sort of carnival-like game place? Is this a casino? Is he just weird like that? Do the boxes come sealed and you can’t open them unless you insert the currency in a slot?
Of course, no explanation is given because none is needed. The point of this mechanic is not to further immerse you in post-apocalyptic Appalachia with a quirky store owner who buys and sells mystery items, but rather to incorporate a very test-and-tried mechanic of exploitative live service games: the mystery loot box. It’s akin to gambling, a lot of people have talked about this in the past, I won’t get into it here other than to say that it’s 100% not immersive and not meant to be immersive but rather to keep you engaged by gaming your brain into playing/paying.

-Reward Systems.
In my in-game travels, I came across a babysitter bot in the middle of the road that wanted to tell me a night time story. A prompt for a sidequest appeared, urging me to listen to the robot’s story. I thought it was cool and that a quest would come out of this, so I did. The bot told me its story (it was Hansel and Gretel) and walked away. That was the end of it. Okay, kind of anti-climactic, but a neat little piece of worldbuilding, I guess.
And then I was rewarded with some caps, some items and some equip for listening.
Wait. Why? Where did those come from? Did the bot give them to me? Why did it? No explanation given. Of course, it wasn’t the bot that gave me the items, it was the ‘game itself’ for completing the task it pointed me towards.
Again, it’s immersion breaking, but not accidentally so. Bethesda could have easily ‘fixed’ this if it thought it was an issue by adding a single last line to the bot’s dialogue: ‘No one ever listens to me, thank you for doing so, here’s items, etc’, whatever. But of course, the goal of this game is not to immerse you, so why bother.
This is not a one time thing, either. You will get items as rewards for quests with no interactions whatsoever all the time (Restoring the power to the Power Plant not only is a quest my character has no in-game motivation to accomplish but also ends with me getting a bunch of items as reward even though he comes into contact with no one during it and doesn't ‘find’ the items, they just show up in my inventory, given to me not to my character by the ‘game’ as a reward for being a good player that pressed all the right buttons when prompted to do so).
Finally…

-I opened a ‘lunchbox’ I got from the game and was rewarded with a temporary perk that makes people explode into confetti whenever I kill them.
Now, I didn’t even know what lunchboxes were and had no idea what they would do. And, granted, it did make me laugh and I got a kick out of seeing people explode into confetti for a while, so that was fun.
But! It did seal the deal in terms of my suspicions of who this game is for: there’s nothing immersive about characters exploding into confetti, or about doing quests your character has no in- game motivation for doing, or buying mystery loot boxes with currency that doesn’t’ exist in the actual lore of this world, or being rewarded with items that come from the hand of God itself it seems because certainly no NPC gave them to me at the end of this quest.

And that brings me to my point here: If story matters to you and you see Fallout games (or any RPGs in general) primarily as simulation games that transport you into their world and if you like to actually role-play the story you are telling and being told alongside the game in real time with your character, F76 is not for you.
It’s a sort of weird simulacrum, a copy-of-a-copy-of-a-copy of a Fallout game, so far removed from the original thing it’s trying to simulate (the post-apocalyptic world the series does so well in single player games) that the thing itself is no longer the point, but rather the game itself is the point, and so it doesn’t matter that no real characters give you rewards, or that every time you log in there’s real player camps in different places so the world is inconsistent, or that your actions have zero impact on Appalachia, or anything else of the sort, because you are not playing to be transported into this world. You are playing to complete the next assignment the game gave you, and then to be rewarded with a thing. And then again. And then again. And then again. And now look, you got legendary currency! And now here’s a daily quest because you passed right by this place – go do it, it only lasts 20 more minutes (why? What’s the in-game explanation as to why I can’t I restore the power to this Power Plant after 20 minutes? Doesn’t matter)!
It’s more engaging than old RPGs that don't have these mechanics (like F3, NV or 4), I’ll give you that. There’s a sense of urgency and of missing out and a true sense of accomplishment that comes w/ doing the quests, getting the rewards, doing the quests, getting the rewards that is hard to quit once you’re caught in the middle of.
But that’s because it’s designed to be so. It’s addictive in much the same way slot machines and Skinner’s boxes are addictive.
But it’s definitely not more fun.

(The community is pretty cool though, people give you free shit all the time)

An Honest to God, No Bullsh*t New Vegas Review (Base Game)

This review is, as the title suggests, an honest review. No Obsidian cock sucking, no nostalgia, no falsely attacking Bethesda. The criteria of this review will be on these topics: story, gameplay, atmosphere, replayability, and enjoyment.
Part One: Story
New Vegas' story is - a mixed bag. The First Act is amazing. A classic revenge story (which doesn't even have to be about revenge) that takes you through the Mojave. While the First Act is a bit too linear for my liking, such as the meat of the game being the forced path, it is well done. The issue arises once you confront Benny. Confronting him you get at least three options; meet him in the suite, meet him in his room, or kill him. Of course are are more options in these options and none of this is the complaint. The complaint is the intruding Second Act.
The Second Act is intrusive, makes no sense, and is unresponsive. Simply put, while realistically you'd get the attention of the NCR and Caesar's Legion after leaving the Lucky 38, you get their attention after leaving The Tops. Along with this your reputation gets sent back to Neutral, meaning of you slaughtered and butchered Caesar's men or NCR outposts, ah...who cares? I don't have an issue with factions wanting your help. But - well - if you do some rather terroristic stuff, they shouldn't be wanting you on their side. Much less forgiving you. On the second issue with the Second Act, it's the Dam. The Dam is important, makes sense logically, and works. What doesn't work is how it's done.
Fallout 1, your home was in jeopardy. Fallout 2, your home and family was in jeopardy. Fallout 3? Well your father left leaving you to go find him and take over his project. See the pattern? There's something tying you down to your main goal. In New Vegas, however, there's what...the Chip? Why do I care though? Mojave isn't my home. The only sensible thing is working for Mr. House, but even then there's nothing tying me down. Meaning no reason to care about the Dam as a player.
Part Two: Gameplay
The gameplay in New Vegas is Fallout 3 but tweaked a little. I won't get too detailed in this category, as I enjoyed Fallout 3's and it is a fine gameplay system.
The only major issue I personally have with it is the weapons, as many offer nothing new and are simply there for the sake of being stronger.
Part Three: Atmosphere
The atmosphere in New Vegas is bland. In all honesty. And it's understandable, as it is a desert. The issue, however, resides in how it's done. Never mind the no (if any) random encounters. Never mind actually interesting marked locations. Never mind how unpopulated the world is.
In New Vegas, 98% of the time you are the only one traveling. Rarely do you see someone else traveling. And never mind clearing the dangers of the road for Ranger Jackson and the Mojave Outpost, which should make traffic more common (New Vegas does this a lot, where the world barely changes on your actions).
Then the locations. Many are marked when they shouldn't be. The toxic waste dumb near Novac and Nelson? Why? It provides nothing. Crashed Highwayman? Nice easter egg. Sad it isn't a different modeled car. Bottle cap printing press? Nothing there. I don't have an issue with locations having nothing as a reward, but that's all New Vegas does with only few exceptions. 90% of the locations offers no lore. Or loot. Or anything.
Part Four: Replayability
The replayability is the one thing New Vegas is great at - if you consider telling and not showing great. I adore New Vegas' multiple quest paths, many dialogue branches, and more. But simply put - it fails to execute well. I think what sucks more is the faction main storylines. All four storylines are effectively the same with the only difference being who you take quests from and who you do it for. NCR does nothing different the Legion does. Mr. House (arguably the best hope) as well. Even you yourself does the same thing. Go see Nellis, see the Khans, how about them Brotherhood guys? Casinos? Nothing changes except whose side they're on.
Part Five: Enjoyment
Lastly, enjoyment. Now I purposefully put this last, sort of as a "gotcha" but mainly to make you reflect on the major points first.
New Vegas, despite its many flaws, is a game I enjoy playing. It could have done a lot better. A lot more. And sure, we can blame the time constraints Zenimax gave Obsidian - if Obsidian didn't decline Bethesda's offer to increase their time. Overall, New Vegas is a game that is good, but ultimately has too many flaws to be considered great. In my opinion, New Vegas has a Charisma of 9 and an Intelligence of 3. In other words, it's a solid 6/10.

[FNV - TTW] Greeting Issue - Please Help

So I was playing the "Autumn Leaves" Mod and started to notice that a few of the computers had weird greetings when I interacted with them. They would greet me with "What do you need?" and if I left the dialog they would end things with "Bye" or "..." Also, NPCs that I wouldn't normally be able to talk to, such as animals, robots, etc would actually greet me with silent dialogue as I passed them.
Normally I could ignore this issue, but it seems to be interfering with one of the quests for Autumn Leaves, and I'm wondering if the fix can be resolved in FNVEdit or by moving around the load order. I am aware that I have an ineptitude towards some of the more advanced modding techniques, such as maintaining a precise load order, and have probably installed mods I shouldn't have. However, I am willing to try and make changes if it means having a stable playthrough. I have already played 100+ of this current playthrough with this currently being the only potentially game breaking problem I've had so far.

Again, any help would be appreciated, but I would prefer any suggestions that would require me to start a new playthrough, simply due to the amount of time I've put into this game already.

[FNV] Please help. Severe stuttering, can't start new game and other problems suddenly happening without adding or removing any mods.

So today when I booted up my modded New Vegas the menu took forever to load, and when I try to load a save it takes forever and once if finally loads the game is severely stuttering, especially when I shoot a gun. I have NVAC, NVTF, The new mod limit bug fix, ENboost and various other fixes already installed. The game had been working perfectly before this, I had even been playing the game last night with none of these issues present. Nothing changed in my game files from last night to today. I am at a loss as to why this is happening.

My Favourite Fallout New Vegas DLC Mods: Ultimate Edition- Fallout DLC Mods no.5 [FNV]

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to the rest. This is an Ultimate Edition of my Fallout New Vegas DLC mods list. This mod is a compilation of my previous DLC lists from Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues and Lonesome Road. However this List also contains mods related to Gun Runners Arsenal and Courier's Stash.
I have completed my DLC mod list for Fallout New Vegas. I still plan on mods related to Fallout 3 in Fallout New Vegas and Fallout New Vegas Faction Related mods. Tell me in the comments what you want to see first, Mods Relating to Fallout 3 or Mods Relating to the Strip Faction.
Thank you to every body with their upvotes and comments and have a splendid new year and a splendid new decade in 2020.

DEAD MONEY

-Cloud Grenades by Hopper31: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/65331
Remember the devastating effects of The Cloud? Do you hope to use its power just like Elder Elijah? Well all you have to do is craft this potent weapon with one of the ingredients being Cloud Residue found in the Sierra Madre. This is a fun weapon mod that will forever say in my Load Order and to my knowledge it is Lore Friendly.

-ReElijahFied by iz FALKON zi: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42195
So the vanilla face of the Elijah NPC does not look like the face we first saw on the screen in the Villa. This mod fixes this and I believe that this is more of a Lore fix than anything. This will always stay in my Load Order.

-Christine Follower by ashjay101: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/62173?tab=files
The companions from the Dead Money DLC were in my opinion, well written and felt almost like real human beings. It was disappointing when you saved them (if you saved them), but realised that after you completed the DLC that they were gone forever. This mod brings back Christine (if she survived) into the Sierra Madre Casino as stated in her ending slide. She is voiced using in game lines, but requires a mod that allows the player to return to the Sierra Madre. This mod is lore friendly and has a special spot in my Load Order. Roam the wastes with our favourite Circle of Steel knight.

-Companion Dean Domino by Maxandmov: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55789
Dean Domino. A singer, a thief and a fan favourite. It is said that he that he headed to New Vegas (if he survived), but we never see him again. This mod add our Old School Ghoul to Freeside and he needs your help to get into the Glorious Strip. This one stays in my Load Order. This mod adds a bit more class to your travels in the waste.

-Dog and God Follower(s) - Dead Money by ashjay101: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/63678
This mod adds either Dog, God, or the merge of the two in different locations in the wasteland. Whatever choice you chose, he will be in a different location. There is just too much to say about this well written character to do him justice. A well done mod that will stay in my Load Order. Who did you choose; Dog, God or the Amnesiac Mutant?

-Coles Hideout - A Sierra Madre Safehouse by GhanimaAtreides: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/63859
The Sierra Madre is a place of dangerous fable. The horrors of Ghosts, Holograms and Blood Clouds will make any person distressed. Why not try to relax in this well built safehouse with a history and warm bed. A Home inside a Horror if you will. Just try it for yourself, no rent included! In my head this is canon and in my Load Order it is to stay.

-Half Hansified Holorifle by Madcat221: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/50547
This is a retexture of the Holorifle using assets from the Weapons Retexture Project, so that mod is required. Just read the comments on the mod page if it is not working. It is about time this unique weapon got a bit of love of the texture kind.

-DFB Dead Money Revisit by Darkfirebird: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42016
Now this is a must have mod. It was very disappointing when you complete the Dead Money DLC, but you are unable to return to the Sierra Madre. To this day I still do not know why you will not be able to return. What if you missed something important or the view of beautiful Sierra Madre. Well this mod does just that. Not only does this allow for to return to the Sierra Madre, but this mod also has an option to allow for the Ghost People to respawn. This mod is very lore friendly and will stay in my Load Order for generations to come.

-Ghost People Suit by adriant1978: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/40837
Do you remember how unique the hazmat suits worn by the Ghost People were? Although we did get this in the Old world Blues DLC, we only got one variant. This adds both variants in order to for fill your Ghost People cosplay and to strike fear into the hearts of your enemies. Be a Ghost and Haunt others like they will forever haunt you!

-Dead Money - No Collar Explosion and No Poison Cloud Damage by dree74: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/40520
This is a cheat mod. I know, I know, how dishonourable of me to cheat...BUT MAYBE YOU SHOULD TRY DEAD MONEY ON HARDCORE MODE! IT IS NOT EASY WHEN YOU ARE SLOW AND YOUR HEAD KEEPS GOING BOOM! This is mainly for casual players and players who role play as an immortal being, or something...(I am sorry for cheating, please forgive me!)

-Dead Money - Missing Return Options by Yukichigai: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/41241
Did you think that the vending machines in the Villa were lacking content? Well now thanks to Yukichigai for allows us to get more return options from these masters of machines. If it was made by Yukichigai, it stays in my Load Order.

-Sierra Madre Exterior Fix by Whaledon: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/66775
This bug fix allows you to witness the Glory of the Sierra Madre when you begin the Gala Event. This stays in my Load Order.

-Shifting Shadows 2K Assassin and Stealth Suit Retextures by 0spacepope0: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/58059
This mod improves the texture and resolution of the Assassin Suit from Dead Money. This is a fine amour which as saved the lives of many players. Now, we just need a retexture of the rest of the Dead Money armours. It deserves to stay in my Load Order.

-Dead Money - Surprise Vending Items Restoration by Yukichigai: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/49703
Another great mod by Yukichigai. This mod adds a bit of the cut content we love from Fallout New Vegas. Now surprise yourself with the vending machines. this mod also allows you to collect all 33 Sierra Madre cards easier. The more cut content restored the happy I get. This stays in my Load Order.

-DMR (Dead Money Retexture) by georgem1010 : https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/67628
There are many retexture or HD texture mods out there, but very few actually retexture DLC locations. Try out this mod if you want to improve the quality of the Sierra Madre and return it to is former Glory!

HONEST HEARTS

-Authentic Burned Man by Rocketlombax: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/41974
This is a makeover for the star character of the Honest Hearts DLC, Joshua Graham. Now the Burned Man himself actually is apart of the "Raider" Race in terms of the Geck and this Race is used to give him the burnt face look. However this just makes him look like he is covered in ash rather than have been covered in pitch and lit on fire. This gives him an almost life like, grizzled retexture. A Fan Favourite mod for a Fan Favourite character.

-Honest Hearts - Tribal Race Restoration by OniKeaton: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/52606
This mod adds the cut races for the Tribals in Zion. For those who want to add more diversity for an already diverse group of Tribals.

-Lore Fix - Asian Daniel by Jexis: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/62550
Now according to sources, Daniel was meant to be Asian as to avoid the "White-Savour" trope so often seen, but for some reason he was Caucasian in game unknown to the lead developers. This mod fixes a mistake and is Lore Friendly.

-Honest Hearts Custom Weapons by MoutainSplitter: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/61477
I enjoyed the design of the Tomahawk, but I wanted a melee version, which is way I downloaded this mod. This includes a melee Tomahawk, a Pistol Whipping (Melee Pistol) and a Grease Gun. This mod also includes Joshua's face wraps, however if you are using the previously mentioned "Authentic Burned Man" mod, the face wrap or any other face wrap mods will not work.

- US Park Ranger Uniform by dicgas: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/63570
So in the DLC you get a Park Ranger hat, but you do not get a uniform. For those who love uniforms or who want to have a complete wardrobe. The clothes are of high quality texture and if are looking for other uniforms, the mod author has many more great uniform mods.

- Bighorner Model Variants by miguick: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/62672
It annoyed me that all the Bighorners look the same 'copy and pasted' clones. The calves have fully grown horns, that is not something one sees in nature. this mod not only gives the Bighorners different Lore Friendly colours, but also gives the calves different models giving the Bighorners more variety. Bighorns are not only the animals that the Mojave needs, but also the life of the people of Zion National Park. This mod has a Honest Hearts plugin.

- Aerie Player Home (Honest Hearts) by ElfyPers0n: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/61468
This is a well made player home set in the Aerie Park Tower. Decorated with static clutter, organised containers and a truck to the Mojave. This is one of the best player homes mods I have seen and one that will stay in my Load Order. Try it for yourself.

- White Mongrels for White Legs by mikester112: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44460
One of the most disappointing aspects of the Honest Hearts DLC was the Creature. Most were just renamed copies of their Mojave Counter parts. This is also true for the White Leg Mongrels, as they look like the generic Legion Mongrel. This mod changes this the gifts of Caesar into mongrels that look like they have been in the care and decoration of the White Legs.

- Tribal Weapons Pack by SpamPTRS: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/57967
This adds tribal decorated weapons to the game adding a bit more to the theme of Honest Hearts. This is a great addition as it adds three weapons to the level list and is Lore Friendly. When you see the Strom Drums being used by the White Legs again they will be using the Tribal texture, but this is not a replacer and you can still buy the submachine guns at vendors. There are also three weapons by the grave just outside the Northern Passage. A great addition to Honest Hearts and my Load Order.

- Playable Honest Hearts Tribals by adriant1978: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/41914
Do you enjoy the Tribal tattoos or paints from the Tribals of Zion, then this mod is for you. You can now chooses the tribal races in the Character Creation to give your new character a bit of a backstory.

- Joshua Graham - Fully - Voiced Companion by LegionaryH: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/56791
Is it not a shame that after you complete the DLC, Joshua goes missing? This mod not only brings him back, but it also makes him a companion. This mod is also compatible with the "authentic Burned Man" mod.

- Medicine Stick and Embrace of the Mantis King (GRA) in Zion by overlee: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/56734
This mod adds the two weapons from the Gun Runners Arsenal DLC to separate locations in Zion. This is what bothered me about the Gun Runners DLC, you got unique weapons, but they are not in unique locations. This mod fixes that for two weapons.
This mod adds the last remnants of the Desert Rangers into the Mojave. When I first used this mod the rangers did not have the "Forgive Me Mama" texture o their helmets, but when I installed it again they were there, so I am not sure what happened.

- Compass Replacer by ModderJay: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/64064
This mod just an updated model and Texture to the compass found in Zion National Park needed to help the Sorrows escape.

-Honest Hearts Better Daniel Trades by NicholasPackham: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/63778
Do you believe that Daniel has too little items in his inventory? Are the White Legs too difficult? This mod improves his inventory.

-Honest Hearts Gecko Leathers Improved by Exeter: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42316
This mod is a retexture of the Gecko Leather and Metal Armours from the DLC that can only be crafted. They all however have the same textures as their original counter parts, this mod fixes that. I forgot to put this on my list so thank you redondepremiere for recommending this mod in the comments and making me realise that I left a mod out.

-Desert Ranger V1-2 by DylanF1: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/54691
This mod adds the last remenatts of the Desert Rangers into the Mojave. When I first used this mod the rangers did not have the "Forgive Me Mama" texture o their helmets, but when I installed it again they were there, so I am not sure what happened.

-Healthier Yao Guai by Sinvence: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/49707
This mod has two options, either give a HD retexture to the Yao Guai or make them look like a real life bear. On a unrelated note, if you want to know if Yao Guai are ghouls are just skinless bears, ask me in the comments and I will make aseparate post discussing a few animals from Fallout New Vegas.

-Advanced Desert Ranger Helmet by Gopher: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42376
This mod adds many features to the ranger helmet from Honest Hearts. However I only used the visor texture and the neck cover so if you do not want o download additional mods, download manually.

-Waking Cloud Follower by ashjay101: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/63640
Just like Joshua, she too disappears after the DLC is complete, but now you can have her as a companion with you in the Mojave.

-Follows-Chalk Follower by ashjay101: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/63756
I know there are reasons why we do not get companions after we complete the DLCs, but sometimes we just miss them. Now you can take Follows-Chalk with you.

OLD WORLD BLUES

- Scorpion Rifle Mark 2 by PineappleSuprise: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/63837
This mod does not only add a cut weapon that loads Robo-Scorpions, but the author took the time to not only give it unique texture, be also added a weapon that launches Robo-Dogs. I loves these mods that add cut weapons back into the game. I mod worthy to stay in the game.

-Old World Blues- Keep Big MT Active by Yukichigai: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/49987
The Old World Blues DLC was the best B movie we all love. The comments from those brains in jars were some of the most well written jokes. The enemies felt like they came from an old horror movie. So it was sad to see that after you complete the DLC Big Mountain be came The Big Empty for real this time. No more enemies and no more announcements you may have missed from the scientists. This mod fixes that and it was created by the well known Yukichigai, the author for all your bug fixing mods.

- Y-17 Trauma Override Harness Gloves by KiCHo666: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/56301
The Trauma Harness was a weird enemy. It could control the bones of the wearer without covering the hand. Even that is too much for a Fallout game. This mod fixes that by allowing them to control the hands of the wearers by using gloves.

-Shifting Shadows 2K Assassin and Stealth Suit Retextures by 0spacepope0: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/58059
This mod improves the texture and resolution of the of the chatty Stealth Suit from Old World Blues. This is a fine amour which as saved the lives of many players. Now, we just need a retexture of the rest of the amours from Old World Blues. Is mod deserves to stay in my Load Order.

- LAER Retexture by TheRiff: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/45042
In the land of Big Mountain, 7 LAERs were gifted to well, nobody really, but I heard Gabe has one. This mods gives this iconic weapon a retexture it deserves.

-Old World Blues Better Lobotomite Goggles by Gaius_Ignatius: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44462
I thought the Smart people wore goggles and glasses! The lobotomite goggles has a minus two to intelligence! Well I often play as the wise-guy and these goggles suit my character. So bye-bye minus two intelligence! This mod also allows me to wear helmets with the goggles.

- Roxie Forever by adriant1978: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/43138
Remember cute little Roxie? Now you can have two Cyber-Dog companions patrolling the Mojave with you! This mod comes with extra features and make Roxie a full companion instead a temporary one. Who is a good girl? Roxie of course!

- Playable Lobotomites by adriant1978: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42925
This mod allows you to choose the Lobotomite Race in the character creation for those who enjoy the scars on a character of for those doing a 1 Intelligence play through.

- Old World Blues - Path Lighting by Sarge198: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/43485
This mod adds a little bit more of light to the subject. The subject being the garden path of Big Moutntain.

-Old World Blues - Wall Safe Console Retexture by deanoman: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/43499
When it comes to large retexture mods, there are none for the DLC, but you can start small with this retexture of the Wall Safe. Hopefully in the future somebody will make an HD Texture pack for the Old Worlds Blue DLC.

- Mojave Rooftops-Old World Blues by SamLandon: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/58404
do you want to reach the unreachable places of Big Mountain? This is the mod for you. Cross over planks, take in the view or create a sniper nest. Whatever the reason, I recommend this mod to everybody.

- Patient Gown Startup by TheCalculator: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44143
Did you not find it strange that when you were in the care of Doctor Mitchell your clothes were missing? Not anymore, this mod makes sure that when you wake up from a bullet to the brain induced coma, you will be wearing a Patient Gown.

- Elianora's Awesomised Sink (OWB) by Elianora: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/56162
This is not only my favourite Old World Blues mod, but also my favourite Player Home mod in all of Fallout New Vegas. This makes the Sink look like the Courier (or Lone Wander or both) has actually lived there as seen with all the static clutter. With amazing features, it is no wonder Elianora is well known for her player home mods. Too bad this is her only Fallout New Vegas Mod.

- Lobotomites with Cosmic Knives by GenaTrius: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/47106
This mod requires both the Old World Blues and Dead Money DLCs. The cosmic knives were created in Big Mountain, but they are only found in the Sierra Madre. This mod adds a greater connection by adding the cosmic knives to the level list of the Lobotomites of Big Mountain.

- Improved Transportalponder - Old World Blues by Yukichigai: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/49785
This mod improve the Transportalponder in not only allowing you to bring companions to Big Mountain, but also allowing you to be transported from DLC locations. Along with other great features.

LONESOME ROAD

- Lonesome Road Carbon Shadow Fix by AgeofEvolutionHQ: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/64022
If you have seen images of real Carbon Shadows, you will know that they do not look like the ones in game. I do know it was a joke to mimic the shadows of bombs in cartoons, but this mod is for those who want as much emersion one can get in a Fallout game.

- Scorched Sierra Power Helmet Retexture by Mika999: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/54075
This mod adds a better texture to the armour and helmet of the Scorched Sierra Power Armour set, how ever you need a mod that brings back the cut helmet.

- Industrial Hand Retexture by cottonballs00: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/63491
A HD texture of our favourite chainsaw and powerfist hybrid.

- Bowie Knife Retexture by FalloutMG: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/62970
Another HD texture of the bowie knife and Blood-Nap.

- Courier Vests by MissMorose: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55024
Like the Duster the player gets at the end of the game, there are faction logos of the four main factions on the back of the vest. However this mod is not limited to just four factions, but well almost all of them from the Boomers to the Kings. Wear your true flag on your back to Hoover Dam now.

- Nail Gun Retexture by PrinceMinusA: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/66086
As of late there is no HD texture packs for the DLC weapons of Fallout New Vegas. This adds a HD texture of the Nail Gun.

- Lonesome Road Endgame Armors have Helmets by hoodooo456: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/50405
No this was a missed opportunity as there is once again and incomplete Armour set. There are many mods that add the cut Scorched Sierra Power Helmet like this mod, but this mod is set aside as the best one because it also adds a Helmet that should have been in the game. A matching Helmet of the 87th Tribe to match the Armour of the 87th Tribe.

- US Army General Uniforms and More by dicgas: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/63513
Not only does this mod add a US Army General Hat for General Martin Retslaf Uniform to make the clothing set complete, but it adds other uniforms for your US Army Collection.

- General Martin Retslaf Fix by DevvastatinDave: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/56407
General martin Retslaf was a pre-war General who committed suicide and it is implied that he did so shortly after the Great War (for example I am sure he would have met the NCR if he had died recently). Even though he may have been a ghoul (or they just used the ghoul race to make him a rotting corpse), he should have been a skeleton after being dead for about 200 years. This mod changes him from a Ghoul into a Skeleton.

- Courier’s Helmet by dicgas: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/63617
Do you want a matching Ranger Combat Helmet for your Duster? This mod adds Ranger Combat Helmets with the four main faction symbols and a

- True Hometown Hero - Earn the Tunnelers' or Marked Men's Respect... Or Fear by LFOxidizer: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/63512
Remember the ending slide to Lonesome Road? It said, "Tunnelers and Marked Men...avoided the lone figure, as if recognizing the Courier's right to passage... or out of fear." What this mods does is that it makes the ending to Lonesome Road true. After you complete the DLC neither the Marked Men or Tunnelers will be hostile towards you.

- US Army Combat Helmet by dicgas: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/63545
So as I mentioned before I hate it when an armour piece is incomplete, such is the case with a lot of Armours from Lonesome Road. As with the case with the Van Graff Combat Armour in the main game, there is no Helmet for the US Army Combat Armour .This mod adds a helmet to complete this armour.

- Lonesome Road Endgame Dusters by menancewhite: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44028
Did you get the wrong Duster after completing Lonesome Road? Did you change your mind on who to side with? Well now you can get all four Duster variants in one container to choose from.

- Riot Gear Glowy Eye Retexture by Jhent: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/63790
This makes the visors of all Riot Gear variants to have the same eyes as the NCR Ranger Combat Helmet on the Main Menu Screen.

- Riot Gear Helmet Neck Cover by Gopher: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44020
This adds a neck cover for all of the Riot Gears.

- Marked Man Race by Kabal99: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/46017
Do you want to role play as a Marked Man who escaped the Divide? Or if you want to play as The Red Skull this mod is for you. Be warned that this mod is only for male characters as female Marked Men are not in game and will be regular ghouls.

- Ulysses Companion Mod by Cirosan: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/48600
This is a fully function companion mod of Ulysses with spliced dialogue and a mini-quest. You can get Ulysses after Lonesome Road DLC has completed in is usual spot if he has survived the encounter of the Two Couriers. A great mod in my opinion and one that stays in my Load Order.

- Courier Duster with Elite Riot Gear Combo by YanL: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/64511
We all enjoy the Duster and Elite Riot Gear, but we can only wear one at a time. Well now you can combine these two armours if they are your favourite so now you can wear your flag with your Elite Riot Gear.

- Lonesome Road Ground Zero Unlocker by menancewhite: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44026
Do you know what is weird, your reward for when you send nuclear fire upon your enemies. In this case if you bombed the NCR you get NCR Armour, but if you bomb the Legion you get Legion Armour. But what if you are like me where as in my current playthrough I am siding with the Legion, I want to destroy the entire NCR in my SilveGold Armour of the 87th Tribe, but cannot get the armour without bombing the Legion. Well this this mod I am able to travel to Dry Wells or the Long 15 to get my Armour with actually destroying my faction. This is not Lore Friendly and in fact is a cheat mod.

-Lonesome Road Duster from Concept Art by rjhelms84: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44122
Be warned this mod requires both Lonesome Road and Honest Hearts DLCs. This mod added the duster seen in the concept art and posters for Lonesome Road. I fine looking armour for any Courier and for those who did not like that the Old World Duster was just a copy of Ulysses Duster.

GUN RUNNERS ARSENAL and COURIER'S STASH

-A Fresh Start (New Courier Stash Armors) by YanL: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/65723
Where you disappointed on how lack luster most of the armours from the Courier's Stash was? The Tribal Raiding armour was exactly the same as the raider armour and it felt a little bit too lazy. This mod adds or replaces the armours in Goodsprings as much better looking versions of most of the armours we got in the Courier's Stash.

-Dead Courier's Stash by Plumberz72: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/67432
This adds all the item from the Courier's Stash to deceased Courier NPCs in Primm so that you do not get all the armours at once if you sell like that is cheating. It also adds more lore to the other Couriers Victor hired on behalf of Mr House

-This Machine Retexture _Gold Version_ by GodMod99: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42498
Now this is a bit of a cheat filling in this mod here as it only requires the base game. However the Gun Runners Arsenal adds in the Battle rifle to the game and they have the same texture of This Machine. A pet peeve of mine is unique weapons looking exactly like their counterpart (I am looking at you Fallout 3). So this mod lets This Machine stand out from the rest by giving it a gold texture to the metal parts of the weapon.

-Paciencia (GRA) USA Flag - Anarchy Flag by GePalladium: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/61460
Now this is a bit of a cheat filling in this mod here as it only requires the base game. However was a cool weapon because of the flag. There are very few weapon mods that have flags so this mod will have to do. If you are a citizen of the USA or are just an Anarchist then this mod is for you as it gives you the option to replace the flag to a Flag of the USA or the Flag of Anarchists.

-Gun Runners Arsenal Chest by MikeyRay: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/48326
The unique weapons that came in the Gun Runners Arsenal DLC were very expensive. How are you suppose to get all those caps to buy them all? This is a mod for us paupers for those do did not get the gold bars from the Vault of the Sierra Madre. This mod adds a cheat chest with all the weapons from the Gun Runners Arsenal DLC.

MODS INVOLVING ALL DLCS

-Passive Startup Messages (No DLC Button Clicking) by Athelbras: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/57758
The title of the mod is self explanatory. This gets rid of those pop up messages after you start a new game with the DLCs.

-Weapons of the Wasteland - Weapon Distribution Tweaks and DLC Weapon Integration by MildlyFootwear: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/66115
This mod is the best in terms of other DLC weapon integrations out there. As the title suggests it adds balanced and lore friendly weapons for all the DLCs of Fallout New Vegas (minus Courier's Stash). Other mods say that they have lore friendly integrations, but I found that not to be always true or they added in the Armours from the DLC as well making it more unfriendly towards the lore.

Why House is probably the best choice for New Vegas

I think the leaderless New Vegas in the ending where you kill house and drive off all other factions would just lead to chaos...so I don't think that's a good ending. I don't think Ceaser's Legion is a good faction. The type of culture he builds does create selfless, unified, brave, strong people...but they're dumb, blind followers and vicious. In my mind a bird in the bag is worth 2 in the bush, and if Ceaser's culture pays off at all...it'll be over the long run. Meanwhile he's wreaking havoc everywhere he goes and I don't think building a society of blind, dumb followers will lead to anything good anyway. That leaves the NCR or House as the two best endings in my mind. The NCR seems to do a lot of good things...but nobody seems thrilled about their presence in the New Vegas area and many people express no opinion of them besides a fear of losing their independence. Therefore, if the NCR is hugely positive influence on the area...that means the bureaucratic NCR politicians know more about what's best for the locals than most of the locals do. That's my main reason for not wanting the NCR to control the area: listening to what the locals say about them. Not many people say anything bad about House though. The NCR has two main problems. Their problem #1. is that they're quite possible expanding too quickly without really being able to defend the areas they expand into or embracing the local cultures. They just kind of recklessly roll over everything, and as a result, despite them being so powerful Ceaser's Legion is a major threat to them and crime and corruption flows everywhere they go. Stopping their expansion through not letting them take over New Vegas could influence them to slow down a bit. Their problem #2 is that there's something about their government that rewards corruption, and as a result through they have many, many wonderful people as soldiers and humanitarians who have little power...their leadership tends to be quite horrible. Examples are the following: The NCR has close ties to the Crimson Caravan trading company that literally assassinates its competition. The NCR tolerates the activities of Heck Gunderson who hires criminals to drive off his competition. The chief science researcher of the NCR is a monster who paid people to go to vault 22 and didn't tell any of them how dangerous it was. He also wants research done their...and I would bet there's a pretty good chance if he gets that research we're going to find out in the New Vegas sequel that half the NCR has been taken over by spore beasts in a few years because he messed something up. Also, there's some pretty good evidence that the NCR would be fine with the destruction of the peaceful colony of super mutants in the ski lodge area and that they paid mercenaries to drive them off. Also, they often don't care about following any legal process when they apply their laws. In one area an NCR official just outright shoots someone just for dealing chems. Keep in mind...this is not in NCR country yet. They therefore are forcing their laws on locals who didn't vote for those laws. So those are the NCR's weaknesses. They do have strengths too...it's just that most of those strengths come from the little people - the regular soldiers and doctors and such.
Finally there's House. He says he demands obedience, but he will not interfere in people's regular lives. So...if you do what he says, and he'll make demands rarely, it seems to me he'll give the people of the Mojave the freedom they insist they want all throughout the game. He saved New Vegas...using his brilliant intellect to keep it save nuclear attacks, which shows that he's far-thinking and intelligent. He is a very cold, callous person, but his cold, callous actions usually have a reason for them. He's ignored most of the suffering of the Mojave because there was nothing about alleviating that suffering that could benefit him. When he found a way to alleviate suffering that could benefit him, he acted on that though. He could have wasted resources, and possibly failed, hunting down the once violent tribes that now form the ruling families that run the casinos...but instead he offered them a reason to become mostly law-abiding. He turned cannibals and raiders into business people...and there is still some rot within their cultures, but at least those tribes are no longer practicing open violence and reveling in wreaking havoc.
Unlike the NCR, House doesn't pretend the corruption of human nature doesn't exist, and let it grow in the dark like an unseen fungus. Unlike Ceaser's Legion, he doesn't waste energy trying to change humanity. Unlike a leaderless New Vegas, House would provide a form of power that, while I doubt he would worry much about minor threats outside his city, he'll have the power to stop major threats from ruling his lands. House, instead, acknowledges humanity's darker side and uses it to his advantage. The NCR taxes people as a source of funding...taking money from fiercely independent individuals who have oftentimes known what's best for them for their whole lives and giving it to corrupt politicians. House, on the other hand, is funded through his casinos. He therefore only takes money from people foolish enough to go to his casinos, or who have enough excess money that it won't bother them. House's form of taxation only taxes people who wouldn't spend their money well anyway...and it leaves everybody else alone.
In my mind, what the Fallout needs most is more medical technology and the kind of technology that can increase people's standards of living...and though House only talks about expanding into the stars, he does seem to have big plans for the world. I'm hoping those would involve the development of that kind of humanity-assisting technology. I don't know that...but even if he only focuses on space travel, I still think he's a better leader than most people in the NCR.
Now...on to House's weaknesses, and there are some big ones. He's intelligent, but brutally cold. He annihilates any threats to him without hesitation. In his quest line you have to destroy the Brotherhood of Steel. However, so far as I can tell the Brotherhood of Steel may be a more destructive force than Ceaser's Legion, on a per person basis. A group of them wipe out an entire outpost of the most peaceful, humanitarian group in the game: the Followers of the Apocalypse, just because they might have learned some of their technology. Another group of them attempt to assassinate the courier and Veronica just because she considers leaving. Furthermore, there really isn't any purpose to their fanatical desire to obtain technology. You can find energy weapons all over the place - even in the hands of the fiends. People throughout the game talk about their violence too. They're a violent, dangerous group of people and though the NCR can make a peace treaty with them...given how violent they've been that may be a pretty unsafe route.
Finally there's what I consider House's biggest weakness...how he treats the Kings if you have the Kings be friendly towards the NCR. He accuses them of being traitors and insists that they leave, and when they don't he destroys them all. Now, he does like them if the Kings are hostile to the NCR and lets them continue to rule Freeside, but the NCR's main presence in the New Vegas city consisted of a charity outpost that was giving out food...so this seems quite cruel and, also, stupid of House to me, because the Kings are a stabilizing influence. They can be seen fighting criminals and rewarding the player for doing the same.. This is only real sign in the game I see of him being corrupt. However, he's a far thinker. He knows the NCR might still want New Vegas. He knows they want to annex his city...and in the NCR quest line you do kill House. He might know that's their end goal. Furthermore the Kings were right in the area in front of his casinos...his main source of funding. If they rebelled they could essentially cut off his oxygen supply...and he did ask them to leave and they were foolish enough to rebel against his robots, which showed they had a foolish stubborn streak, which could make them undesirable to be anywhere near him.
So...because House Kills the Kings if they are friendly with the NCR, I think he's a corrupt dictator who is probably going to make big mistakes like that once in awhile in the future...but I think he's also a very far-thinking, usually extremely intelligent dictator...and the second best choice in my mind, the NCR, are also filled with corrupt leaders who wreak havoc, but ones who aren't nearly as far-thinking or intelligent...so I just influence the Kings to become hostile to the NCR so House doesn't wipe them out, and side with House.

[IDEA] Fallout: Pathfinder

Hi All,
This idea for a Fallout Game has been burrowing a hole in my head for the past few weeks and if I don't share it I feel I'm going to burst.
The Setting
Two of the most requested cities for a future Fallout game (on the East coast at least) are Philadelphia and New York City... but what if we could have both? In Fallout: Pathfinder, the game takes place in the space between these two metropolises - New Jersey, with Philadelphia and New York taking up the lower-left and top-right corners of the map.
The game takes place between the events of Fallout 3 and Fallout 4, in 2283, and charts the events that occur between the two games. Like Fallout 76 (clearly everyone's favorite Fallout game! /s), the map will also be split into biomes that will represent the diversity of landscape present in the state. These areas will be:
- The Gap: Following the mountainous area along the Delaware river on New Jersey's western border, this isolated and forested area will be the starting location for the player. Some major cities will include Hackettstown, home of Galaxy Confectionary HQ (producers of Big Pop's Bubblegum, Sugar Bombs, and other sugary goodness), and Morristown, the first major locale the player visits.
- The College: In the huge suburban sprawl between Rutgers University and Princeton University, this area will feature callbacks to the intense rivalry between the two schools, and will be where the player encounters the first main story beats. It is also where the first major post war settlement will be located.
- The Shore: Along the shoreline of New Jersey, this area will encompass the entire bottom right side of the map, full of high level ghouls due to the invention of the Rad-Bed, a tanning bed that used intense-but-short bursts of radiation to provide tanning, this area culminates in Atlantic City, a perverse reflection of New Vegas, where raider gangs roam the streets, and automated casinos provide these gambling-addicted raiders a fast way to dispose of their caps.
- The Barrens: The bottom middle map features a ghostly and misty expanse of pinewood and brambles. Very few locations here, but designed to give players an uneasy feeling when traversing. While not as plentiful as Far Harbor and the Mire, a few Anglers can be spotted in the marshy areas of the Barrens, as well as tales of one of the Game's few cryptids. Legend says the Jersey Devil stalks the woods.
- The Corridor: North of the College lies the corridor, an interminable series of Ghost towns that lead into New York City. Picked dry by prospectors and other entrepreneurial citizens of the College, the Corridor is one of the few relatively safe avenues for trade between the College and the warring gangs of lower Manhattan, flanked by the water on the right and the wilder sections of the Gap to its North and West.
- Manhattan: In the Great War, a bomb struck New York city in the heart of Central Park, levelling most of the city (but not all) above Midtown. And yet, in the remaining lower section of the Island, gangs of raiders fight over the spoils of a post-nuclear New York. These gangs include the 54s, who have occupied the northernmost section of what remains of the city, the Villagers who inhabit the area in and around Washington Square Park, and the Bulls who occupy the southernmost point of the island. While they stand divided now, a united coalition could cast a wide shadow over the surrounding area.
- Philadelphia: Inhabited by Enclave Reformers, these survivors (more below) seek to change and move past the legacy of war and genocide of their fathers, towards a different future, and they seek that future in the ruins of America's first capital, where it all began. Many in senior leadership however view the warring gangs of Manhattan as a threat that may have to be dealt with sooner rather than later. Will the wasteland cause their good intentions to die out?
- Staten Island: This island will be for "post-game" content. Isolated from the rest of the area, the creatures here have been forged in a crucible of violence and are significantly stronger than anywhere else in the area. Are you ready for the challenge?
The Factions
- The Enclave Remnants: In the aftermath of the fall of Adams Airforce Base and the collapse of their senior leadership, the shattered and broken remnants of the Enclave on the East Coast make their way North-East, braving the swamps of Delaware and losing many in the process, but finally making their way to the ruins of Philadelphia, America's first Capital, where the new generation is attempting to shrug off the warlike tendencies and mistakes of their fathers. They are hoping to reinvent what the Enclave stands for going forward. Will this new generation move past the ghosts of their past?
- The Brotherhood of Steel Recon Squad Artemis: Arthur Maxson has just taken control on the East Coast chapter of the Brotherhood of Steel and is beginning to chart a path to the Commonwealth. In order to do so, Recon Squads are being sent north to clear the way for the Prydwen. Led by Paladin Brandis, this squad has landed on the outskirts of the College, where rumors of the Enclave in Philadelphia are just beginning to reach them. Will they continue with their mission, or will they stamp out the Enclave the only way they know how? Violently.
- The College: The central point between the two urban sprawls, the College rose up as first a major trading post, then as a true post-war settlement, the shanty town echoes the sibling rivalry of the two universities upon which it stands: extreme factionalism divides the town between those who would side with their new southern neighbors, and those who remain skeptical and look to the north for answers, and beyond these both, a new faction that would see the College capitalize its position to the fullest and remain strong, proud, and most importantly, independent.
- The Manhattan Gangs: While these groups have been fighting for decades, to call them raiders would be reductive: each features their own distinct culture, identity and way of life in the shadow of the ruined husks of the city. A grand alliance between these factions could radically reshape the landscape of the Northeast. But, with the riches of the world's biggest city between them, will the ever-fighting gangs be able to forge a new path? And if they do, will the city that never sleeps awaken once more?
- The Shore Raiders: Headquartered in Atlantic City, the Shore Raiders spend their day gambling, slaving, raiding, and drinking. And that's how they like it. With the right leadership and organization, the Shore Raiders could come to dominate the Garden State and burn it to the ground.
The Story
As with all mainline Fallout games, the main character begins life in a Vault. Vault 110, located near Hackettstown, the player character is the child of the Vault's overseer. Vault 110's experiment, made in conjunction with the Galaxy Confectionary Company, was to see what the long term effects of consuming pre-packaged candy and chocolate would be in the presence of a limited diet. When the Vault door closed, Vault residents discovered that they had been the manufacturing ability to create a nearly limitless amount of Sugar Bombs, Big Pop's Bubblegum, Galaxy Chocolate Bars and more, but no simple way to grow vegetables and no reliable source of protein.
In order to solve this issue, the second Overseer of Vault 110, seeing his vault dwellers become hopelessly malnourished in spite of their high caloric intake, made some secret modifications to the manufacturing equipment that would reprocess the organic matter from dead vault dwellers and slowly redistribute those nutrients into the candy the Vault was eating. Each overseer vowed to keep this confectionarized cannibalism a secret from the rest of the Vault in order to avoid armed retaliation and/or an opening of the Vault Doors. On their nineteenth birthday, the player character discovers the ghastly truth, and confronting their father, they are exiled from the vault never to be seen again.
Exiting the vault and descending into Hackettstown, the main character, henceforth "the Exile", encounters a group of peaceful prospectors in the ruins. These prospectors belong to a faction called "The Pathfinders" who are seeking a safe path through the Gap in order to find trade routes in Eastern Pennsylvania and beyond. The Pathfinders point the Exile towards their nearby camp in Morristown, telling the Exile that they are not the first Vault 110 dweller to have left the Vault. In Morristown, the Exile finds the Pathfinder camp under assault by Shore Raiders. After successfully fighting them off, the leader of the Pathfinders, a woman named Isa Gonzalez, notes that the Shore Raiders must be getting desperate to attack settlements so far north, and points you in the direction of the College, down the old Interstate 278. When asking about the previous Vault 110 dweller, Isa hands you a holotape she found in the ruins of Morristown, the voice matches that of your grandfather, who had gone missing ten years ago, when your father took over the overseer position. You resolve to go searching for him.
Once at the College, the game opens up as you get involved in both the internal politics of the settlement and the broader game of factions, however the bread crumb trail of holotapes and stories from other Jersey residents lead the Exile down the Shore region until they reach Atlantic City, home of the Shore Raiders. Here you learn that the Exile's grandparent was one of the founders of the Shore Raiders faction and oversaw their transition from chem junkies and gambling addicts to organized slaving and raiding faction. Your grandfather, now the leader of the faction, justifies this by saying that in the Vault, you lived in a society dominated by rules, and that if you followed those rules to the letter you would be rewarded, but those rules were sick, they misled people, and the societies outside the vault have the same problem. Only by eliminating the rules, can the Wasteland be free. You are then given the choice: Join the Shore Raiders or leave and never return.
Themes
Each and every Fallout game has a recurring theme that informs the entire narrative. In Fallout: Pathfinder, that theme is legacy. In particular: how do we move past the legacy of our parents, of our forefathers? For the player character, this is quite central to their character, as the questionable moral decisionmaking of their father, and all previous overseers, is part of the character arc. In addition, each major faction (with the exception of the Shore Raiders) is grappling with the past in some way, and dealing with the legacy of their faction or their settlement.
Ultimately the moral of the story is that you get to define what your faction is and what their legacy will be going forward.
